Dodo is one of every Nigerian’s favorite. It is also quite fast and easy to make. It can be eaten as a side dish, paired with any rice dish (Jollof Rice, Fried Rice, Coconut Rice etc), noodles, almost anything as a matter of fact. I am yet to see anyone eat it with a morsel though, but you never know! It is perfect in this recipe of Shrimpvocado. A lot of you might wonder why the skill level of this is medium. I tend to burn my dodo easily, so yea, go figure. Lol!
Prep Step 🙁
- Peel the plantain.
- Cut into small ovals. see the video below on peeling and cutting./li>
Le Dodo 🙂
- Heat your oil, keeping on medium heat
- Fry the pieces until golden brown. Remove from the oil and let it drain on a paper towel Note: It is important to stay with the plantains the whole time while continuously flipping till both sides are golden brown, else it will burn easily. I have burnt many a plantain just by stepping away to take a ‘quick look’ at my phone or something else.
